Expandable baton used in mugging

A 24-year-old man was hurt during a mugging in which an expendable baton was used.

Police said two males came up to the victim near Eglinton Avenue and Mason Road, east of Bellamy Road, at about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 27.

The males pushed the victim and demanded his wallet. The victim didn't comply. One suspect then produced an expandable baton and struggled with the victim.

The suspects fled with the victim's cellphone.

One suspect is black, 17 to 23 years old, about 5'8" tall with a medium build. The other is black, 20 to 30, about six-feet tall with a heavy build.
