Cameras start coming down

Toronto police have now started removing the 77 additional closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in the downtown core for the upcoming G20 Summit.

The CCTVs were designed to serve as a safety measure for those living in or visiting Toronto during the summit.

The cameras complimented the Toronto Police Services' 18 permanent security cameras already in place.

The additional CCTVs were monitored throughout the conference.
