A community-level discussion about the impacts of the G20 weekend on Toronto is set to take place this Thursday, July 8 at the Scadding Court Community Centre, 707 Dundas St. W.
Hosted by Equity Toronto and Community Education&Access to Police Complaints (CEAPC), the Post-G20 Town Hall Event will run from 7 to 9 p.m.
All are welcome to attend and share their experiences and thoughts - both positive and negative - on Toronto hosting the international conference. The gathering will also explore whether common themes from the G20 could relate to systemic issues that require special attention.
All feedback gathered at the meeting will be shared with appropriate bodies from all three levels of government including G20 security forces, Ontario's Independent Police Review Director and other similar bodies, the Mayor of Toronto, and the province's Attorney General and Solicitor General as well as other relevant stakeholders.
Space is limited. Email tapash@scaddingcourt.org or call 416-392-0335, ext. 245 to save your seat.
