A man wanted in the theft of a baby stroller in the Pape and Cosburn avenues area Saturday, March 13 has the same name and is the same age as a man charged in the attempted robbery of Royal Canadian Legion hall in Scarborough last November.

Michael Pavlova, 25, and his sister Bianca Pavlova, 27, were charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence after a man armed with an imitation handgun entered the Oakridge Branch on Robinson Avenue Nov. 12 and demanded cash from people who were counting and sorting money from poppy sales at the time.

A struggle started when an 84-year-old veteran grabbed the gunman's arm. The senior was pushed down and suffered a bruise to his elbow. A 64-year-old man then grabbed the suspect, who fled empty-handed.

Police released photos of two people wanted in the theft of a baby stroller in East York last week.

Police allege the victim found the stroller for sale on Craiglsist the day after it went missing from their porch and contacted a suspect to arrange a meeting. Pictures were taken at the meeting.

One suspect has been identified as Michael Pavlova, 25. He is wanted for theft under $5,000 and possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The second suspect is a white woman with short brown hair with blond streaks.

Police on Friday, March 19 said they didn't have information identifying Bianca Pavlova as the woman wanted in the stroller theft and did not confirm it is the same Michael Pavlova who was charged in the November incident.
