The city is implementing parking regulations during the 2010 RBC Canadian Open this July to minimize traffic impacts from tournament play on neighbouring residential streets. Toronto City Council votes on the measures later this month.
The Kingsway will be a "no stopping" zone from Kipling Avenue to Hartfield Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday, July 19 to and including Sunday, July 25.In total, street parking will be prohibited on both sides of 50 area streets from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during tournament play from Monday, July 19 to and including Sunday, July 25.The first list details the initial city staff-evaluated list of streets on which parking regulations will be implemented. The second list details the additional streets city staff added to the list following additional consultations with area residents who also expressed concerns with parking on their streets.
