Man, youth face multiple gun charges

A man and a youth are facing 16 charges after a firearm was seized Saturday, March 7 in North York.

Police were called to the Jane Street and Wilson Avenue area around 6 p.m. for reports of a fight involving broken beer bottles. A sawed-off shotgun was allegedly located.

Joe Guzman, 20, of Toronto, faces seven charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm and weapons dangerous.

A 17-year-old Toronto youth is facing nine charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm and fail to comply with recognizance.

The youth cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
