Cash, pills stolen in pharmacy break-in

Cash and a large quantity of drugs were taken during a break-in at a Scarborough pharmacy on Friday.

The theft occurred between 1 and 9 a.m. at the Port Union Pharmacy at 5550 Lawrence Ave. E.

Police said entry was gained by forcing a door.

Between 15,000 and 20,000 pills were stolen. They include painkillers and anti-nausea medication.
