The Riverside and Leslieville communities are set to come alive with art for next weekend's Riverdale Art Walk (RAW).
The 11th annual juried fine art show presented by the Artists' Network will feature more than 100 artists exhibiting their works at Jimmie Simpson Park.
More than 20 retail spaces, artists' studios and galleries throughout south Riverdale will also open their doors for the popular event, which attracts more than 10,000 people to the area each year.
The Riverdale Art Walk will also include entertainment for the kids, live music food and drink.
This year's RAW will also include a presentation of the film 'Amelie' on Wednesday, June 3 at the Fox Theatre, 2236 Queen St. E. Doors open at 6 p.m. The screening starts at 7 p.m.
The event's grand opening celebration takes place Thursday, June 4 at Hang Man Gallery, 756 Queen St. E., from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Artists' Network is also hosting a members' show called "doubles" during the Riverdale Art Walk at the Hang Man Gallery. The members' show will run from June 2 to 21.
The Riverdale Art Walk takes place within an area bounded by Queen Street East to the south, Broadview Avenue to the west, Carlaw Avenue to the east and Dundas Street East to the north.
The event is easily accessible by the TTC, driving or by bike.
The Riverdale Art Walk runs Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
