'Suspicious' fire destroys four town homes

A suspicious two-alarm blaze engulfed four town homes under construction in south Scarborough Saturday.

Fire crews were called to Warden Avenue and Burn Hill Road at 4:19 a.m.

Capt. Mike Strapko said the town homes had walls but no roof yet.

"The fire was suspicious. We put it down as possible vandalism."

Damage is estimated at $150,000.

There were 11 fire trucks and 45 firefighters at the scene.

No one was hurt.
