Torontonians are invited to experience country life as the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair rides into Exhibition Place Nov. 6 to 15.
And as part of their Canadian tour, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will officially open the 87th addition of the fair, which offers urbanites a chance to experience innovations in food and agriculture, livestock and the world's top equestrian horses and riders.Admission will be free from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. to those who want to welcome Prince Charles and Camilla at the grand-opening ceremonies of The Royal Nov. 6.Before the couple's arrival, spectators will be treated to equestrian entertainment, including performances by The Canadian Cowgirls Precision Riding Team, Pony Club members and hunter jumper competitors. Rounding out the royal visit on opening weekend, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair will keep guests entertained with the first new country music concert series, produced by Bayfest Music Festival, featuring Emerson Drive on Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and the Road Hammers Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. On Friday and Saturday nights of opening weekend, The Royal will also feature the Canadian Show Jumping Championships, pitting the country's best riders against one another. The Ontario Toyota Dealers Royal Rodeo takes place at 1 p.m. Nov. 8 and will feature barrel racing, rodeo clowns, bareback and bronco riding.
