Three men sought in connection with Yorkville swarming

A 39-year-old man was the victim of a violent robbery on Thursday, Oct. 22.

The swarming happened at about 1:15 a.m. near Yorkville and Hazelton avenues.

Police report the victim was approached from behind by three male suspects, one of which demanded that he hand over his bag. The victim refused to do so and a struggle ensued. That same suspect then reportedly punched the victim in the face causing him to fall to the ground. The other two suspects then allegedly jumped in and began assaulting the victim.

They then fled the scene northbound in a vehicle on Hazelton Avenue with the victim's personal effects.

The victim sustained minor injuries but sought his own medical attention.

Police are looking for a white male, about 34 years old, 6'2" with a thin build and short brown hair. The second suspect is a white male, about 33 years old, six feet tall with a medium build and brown hair, while the third is a white male, about 33 years old, 5'11", and 180 pounds with dark hair.
