Minimal damage sustained from Queen's Park blaze

A two-alarm fire broke out at Queen's Park on Sunday night.

It happened at around 10:30 p.m. in the roof of the historical building's north wing, which is directly above the legislature's library.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire before any significant fire, water or smoke damage occurred.

Reports indicate the fire started in a cooling tower inside a large air conditioning unit on the north building's roof.

No one was injured.
