Albion search warrant uncovers loaded handgun, drugs

A man and woman arrested Sunday, Feb. 19 upon the execution of a search warrant on Albion Road in north Etobicoke are facing numerous firearms and drug charges.

According to Toronto police, officers from the Gun and Gang Task Force joined with those from the Emergency Task Force at around 11:40 p.m. to execute the warrant at an address on Albion Road.

It is alleged that a woman was located in the home, where a quantity of drugs, drug paraphernalia, a loaded 9-mm handgun, a quantity of ammunition and a bulletproof vest were seized.

Police also allege that, prior to the execution of the search warrant, a man was arrested in connection with the address. A firearm and a quantity of drugs were seized from him.

Akeem Bailey and Audrianna Ivy, both 22, have each been charged accordingly.

Both accused were scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Feb. 20.
