Learn basic bicycle repair skills or brush up on your bike repair knowledge with help from the Davenport West Bike Project.
Take part in a bike repair training workshop run by a mechanic from Bike Pirates, a local organization whose mission is to empower cyclists and make bicycles more accessible. Bike Pirates volunteer-run and volunteer-organized and provides a Do-It-Yourself workspace to community members and supports bicycle re-use.The training workshops take place at the Davenport Perth Neighbourhood Centre and Community Health Centre (DPNCHC), 1900 Davenport Rd. The next one will be held Wednesday, March 7 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will focus on brakes and cables; followed by a repeat session on brakes and cables on Wednesday, March 14. On Wednesday, March 21, participants will learn how to fix bike chains and derailleurs.
