ADventure for teens

An ad agency in the Beach has created a free six-week program designed to give teens aged 14 to 16 a taste of what it's like to work in the advertising business.

Top Drawer Creative Inc. at 2216 Queen St. E, west of Beech Avenue, is inviting youth to sign up for its ADventure Advertising Apprenticeship Program, which will take place Tuesdays from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. starting Feb. 28.

Youth selected to participate in the program will work on creating a branding and marketing campaign for a new line of sauces set to be launched by fellow Beach business, Ed Real Scoop.

The campaigns will be presented to the local ice cream shop on the program's last day on April 3 and a winner will be selected.

Throughout the process, industry professionals will mentor the students on branding, promotion, copywriting and design.
