A man faces charges after five girls were allegedly sexually assaulted.Police said that in May they began an investigation into allegations of a series of historical sexual assaults."The accused sexually assaulted five young girls over a period of time in both Toronto and York Region," police alleged in a Thursday, Feb. 16, afternoon news release.Recardo Shawn Elliott, 33, of Richmond Hill, was charged with 22 sex-related offences on Feb. 15.The accused is employed as a roofer, police said.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-3148 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
