TRAFFIC WATCH: FEB. 10 TO 17.
There is lots of road work taking place in North York this week.
North York seems to be the place to watch - traffic-wise - this week. There is lots going on, including construction on the Allen Expressway today.
HEADS UP
- Southbound Spadina, the two left lanes closed from Richmond Street West to Adelaide Street West due to emergency sewer repair.
NORTH YORK
- There will be a lane restriction on Keele Street at 2699 Keele St. from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 10 to 14.
- The northeast corner of Jane Street at Stong Court will be closed due to construction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Feb. 11.
- The Beecroft Road northbound curb lane is closed from Sheppard Avenue West intersection for about 25 metres for underground Hydro connection work from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 to 17.
- The northbound curb lane on Wilson Avenue at 1006X Wilson Ave. will be closed due to construction from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Feb. 17.
- There will be lane restriction on Dufferin Street and Claver Avenue due to costruction from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 13.
- The westbound curb lane at 1071 Willowdale Ave. at Madawaska Avenue will be closed due to construction from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Feb. 16.
- The north curb lane will be closed at 71 The Bridle Path due to construction from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 13 to 16.
- The eastbound lane will be closed on Fairview Mall Drive from Don Mills Road to the Hwy. 404 south Fairview Mall ramp from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until Feb. 20 due to Authentech Communications work. In addition, Fairview Mall Drive will be closed at Don Mills Road due to conduit installation. being done in front of 250 Fairview Mall Dr.
SCARBOROUGH
- The eastbound curb lane of Sheppard Avenue from Scunthorpe Road to Markham Road will be occupied due to Bell Canada work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 10.
- The southbound Birchmount Road curb lane is closed at Staley Terrance due to Authentech Communications work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 10 to 15
- The Neilson Road northbound curb lane will be closed from Wickson Trail to Sewells Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Feb. 17 due to Authenitch Communications work.
- The northbound curb lane will be closed on Warden Avenue at Arkona Drive due to construction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Feb. 17.
- Brimley Road southbound curb lane closures from Alexmuir Boulevard to Finch Avenue East for Bell utility work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Feb. 29. Police will be on scene to assist with traffic.
ETOBICOKE
- The southbound west side of Oakwood Avenue at Rogers Road will be closed due hydrant replacement being done at 358 Oakwood Ave from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 10.
- Islington Avenue, two northbound lanes are closed from The Kingsway to Cranleigh Court; one northbound left turn lane maintained for northbound traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Feb. 20. The Kingsway - two-way traffic maintained on north side of roadway from 398 The Kingsway to Swindon Road. Closures for utility work.
TORONTO
- The curb lane on Adelaide will be closed from York to Bay streets due to hoisting of a crane, nightly, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. until Feb. 12.
- Adelaide Street West at Grand Opera Lane, the eastbound curb lane occupied due to Rogers cable work from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until Feb. 16.
- The eastbound curb lane occupied from Adelaide Street West at Grand Opera Lane due to Rogers cable work from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until Feb. 16.
- Yonge is reduced to single lane in each direction at King Street from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 11 p.m.; 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., King westbound the curb lane occupied at intersection, until Feb. 16.
EXPRESSWAYS
- The eastbound Wilson Heights off-ramp from the Allen Road will be closed due to street light repairs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 10.
- The southbound curb lane of Park Lawn Road from the Gardiner Expressway to Lake Shore Boulveard West is closed due to offloading of materials from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Feb. 13.
TTC
Beginning at 5 a.m., Feb. 11 to 3 a.m. Feb. 13, streetcars will be replaced by buses on Spadina Avenue between Spadina Station and College Street during concrete strength testing and streetcar track repairs on the Spadina Avenue streetcar ramp, south of Spadina station.
During the work, 510 SPADINA streetcars will be diverted to Bathurst station, operating in both directions via Spadina Avenue, College Street and Bathurst Street.
