Grow op found at home near Markham and Sheppard

Police have taken down a marijuana grow operation at a Scarborough house.

Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a home near Markham Road and Sheppard Avenue at 6:25 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3.

The home is located less than 100 metres from a park and a school.

Police allege the occupant of the home produced about 400 plants and possessed marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Police also allege the home's occupant stole electricity to power the drug production.

No one has been arrested.

The investigation is ongoing.
