Weston/Sheppard community thanked for help following drug bust

Two men have been charged following a drug investigation in the Weston Road and Sheppard Avenue area.

Police said the probe, conducted by 31 Division, began in early January after complaints from the community.

On Monday, Jan. 30, police executed a search warrant at an apartment at 3328 Weston Rd. and seized cocaine and marijuana.

Two men have each been charged with two counts of possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possessing marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possessing proceeds of crime.

Due to an ongoing investigation, police didn't release the names of the accused.

Police said they want to thank the Weston and Sheppard community for working with them to keep the neighbourhood safe.

Anyone with information is asked to call 31 Division at 416-808-3100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
