A man faces 13 charges after police seized drugs and guns while searching a Scarborough home Wednesday.
Police allege officers with the gun and gang task force and 41 Division executed a search warrant at a home on Flora Drive on Feb. 1 and seized a 12-gauge shotgun, a .22-calibre rifle and a replica rifle.
Also seized were marijuana, hashish and cash.
Dylan Farrell, 19, is charged with possessing a prohibited firearm with ammunition, possessing for the purpose marijuana, possessing for the purpose hashish, possessing proceeds of crime, careless storage of ammunition, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, two counts of possessing a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm and two counts of possessing a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence.
In a separate investigation, police seized a loaded shotgun, a starter's pistol, ammunition and drugs from an apartment on Lawrence Avenue on Sunday, Jan. 29.
Brandon Cooze, 19, is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possessing a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence, careless storage of a firearm, failing to comply with recognizance, careless storage of ammunition, possessing for the purpose cocaine, possessing for the purpose controlled substance, possessing proceeds of crime and two counts of possessing a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized.
