Police are investigating why a group of men were shot in Jamestown Wednesday night, sending two to hospital with gunshot wounds.
Shots were fired at three men on John Garland Boulevard in the Kipling Avenue-Albion Road area around 9:30 p.m. Feb. 1.
Two of them sustained gunshot wounds, said Toronto police 23 Division Staff Sgt. Chris Sloan. He could not confirm where they were shot or the extent of their injuries.
Toronto EMS spokesperson Kim McKinnon confirmed paramedics transported two men to hospital, neither with life-threatening injuries. The more seriously injured man was taken to a Toronto trauma centre.
She said she could not speak to their specific injuries.
A third young man sustained injuries from glass, Sloan said. Paramedics did not transport him to hospital.
Police have no information on suspects.
"We're looking into motive. Why these men would be a target." Sloan said.
