Toronto Police have arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with a violent home invasion that took place in the King and Dufferin streets area on Oct. 4, 2011.
According to police, the suspects walked into the apartment of a 77-year-old man, at which point the female suspect allegedly armed herself with a 12-inch butcher knife from the victim's kitchen.The suspects are then said to have demanded the victim pay them $5,000 and forced the man to give them his bank card and PIN number. They also allegedly stole a watch from their victim and duct taped him to a chair before fleeing.The male suspect was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 31 and charged with one count each of robbery, weapons dangerous and forcible confinement.
