Author makes return visit 'Churches Without Borders' speaker series

As part of its 125th anniversary 'Churches Without Borders' speaker series, St. Olave's Anglican Church is welcoming back award-winning author Marina Nemat.

Nemat, who penned the memoir 'Prisoner of Tehran,' one of the chosen non-fiction titles for CBC's Canada Reads program, will be speaking to the congregation on Sunday, Feb. 5 during the church's 10:30 a.m. service.

Her book has also been adapted for the stage and will be performed at Theatre Passe-Muraille in the spring.

Nemat first visited St. Olave's last year to share her harrowing ordeal in Evin Prison, in northwestern Tehran. St. Olave's Anglican Church is located at 360 Windermere Ave. at Bloor Street West.
