The 9th annual Mike Dickinson Grey Cup Party, held Nov. 27, raised more than $9,470 for The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and Pancreatic Cancer Research.
Mike Dickinson was a longtime Bloor West Village resident and business owner, who succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 2003. For almost a decade, his family has held a Grey Cup party in honour of the avid Canadian Football League fan.
"I think my dad would be shocked and in awe of the amount of support and success we have had," said Dickinson's daughter Kelly as she presented the cheque to the Keith Clark, the foundation's special events co-ordinator.
Dickinson thanked all of the event's volunteers, donors, guests and supporters.
"Without you, this could not be possible year after year," she said.
