Flashpoint actor to MC Runnymede Healthcare Centre gala.

Canadian actor Enrico Colantoni of Flashpoint fame stopped in at Runnymede Healthcare Centre for a tour of the hospital and a visit with patients, Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Colantoni, who is also known for his roles as Elliot DiMauro on the sitcom Just Shoot Me! and Keith Mars on the series Veronica Mars, is the Master of Ceremonies for the hospital's ICARE Gala this year.
"We are truly fortunate to have Enrico Colantoni, a talented actor who amongst many things currently stars in the award winning series Flashpoint. Enrico has visited our hospital many times and continues to be impressed with the excellent care we provide," said President and CEO Connie Dejak in an email to The Villager.
Proceeds from the gala, which takes place Nov. 17, support patient programs while helping the complex continuing care hospital, which provides specialized medical, therapeutic and outpatient services, remain at the forefront of leading edge medical, nursing and therapeutic care. Runnymede Healthcare Centre admits patients with specific complex medical needs, for example, people who have suffered a severe stroke or who have late stage Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s. Runnymede hospital is specific to caring for individuals with these specific needs.
Calantoni, alongside Dejak, visited with patients in the physiotherapy room of the new state-of-the-art building, Wednesday afternoon.
Colantoni has returned to his native Toronto after 25 years in Los Angeles. The actor says he was struck by just how caring a health care facility can be.
