When I discovered that Ma Bell has been (in my opinion) overcharging me for three years, and after getting little satisfaction from her customer disservice department, I decided I'd rather switch than fight.
So I called Rogers and booked a technician to come to my home and change over my phone service. Going to save myself $25 a month, so they tell me.
Pulled myself out of bed, on my day off, at 7:30 a.m. to greet a technician who they told me would be here "sometime between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m."
Of course, two coffees later, it's almost 10 a.m. and I'm still all by my lonesome.
And they're charging me upwards of $40 for this scheduled appointment.
Not much difference, so far, between Bell and Rogers.
Like they used to say in that old breakfast cereal commercial, "I can't tell the difference. Can you tell the difference."
