Driver detained near Allan Gardens

A male driver was reportedly detained by police Saturday morning after several questionable items were located inside his vehicle near Allan Gardens.

The items include a nail gun, shovels, compressors, bulletproof vests, an axe, and gas masks.
Ontario Provincial Police Const. Michelle Murphy, a spokesperson for the Integrated Security Unit, said late Saturday morning there is no confirmation or details available as of yet pertaining to this alleged arrest.

Dozens of protesters set up a makeshift ‘tent city’ at the downtown east park, near Sherbourne and Gerrard streets, Friday night.
