Police seize 12 guns from Bloor West home

A Bloor West area man is facing 16 firearms offence charges after police allegedly seized 12 guns from a home this week.

Police were called to an address in the Windermere Avenue and Annette Street area on Tuesday morning at around 2 a.m. and allegedly seized a .357 magnum revolver loaded with six rounds of .38 calibre special ammunition.

Upon further search of the home, an additional nine long guns, two semi-automatic handguns and a quantity of ammunition was discovered, police alleged.

Peter Andrews, 55, of Toronto has been charged with two counts of possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition and 12 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

He was scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Tuesday.
