Abortion not safe, reader writes
If Tamara Daly of York University thinks things are OK in the area of sexual health for women, she should take another look at the abortion industry and what women are being told or rather not being told.
The safe, very safe, mantra on tax-funded city, university and hospital websites persists despite medical research proving the contrary.
Consider the major study commissioned by Ontario's College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2000. In the three months following an abortion, it found that the women involved had a four times higher rate of hospitalization for infections, five times for surgical events and five times for psychiatric problems. Is that safe?
And so convincing are the statistics identifying abortion as the best predictor of breast cancer, insurance companies are preparing for the surge in breast cancer projected out to 2029. Does that sound safe?
Finally, listen to the testimony of Canadian women at the Silent No More Canada website as they tell of the suffering abortion has caused them.
Yes, the health-care system is failing women. And it will continue to fail as long as experts such as Daly choose to look the other way.
