Homicide detectives continue to probe the grisly details of a homicide, which took place near Lake Shore Boulevard East and Cherry Street.
Wednesday afternoon police discovered the body of a man with obvious signs of trauma in an industrial bin typically used for paper recycling.
The find was made in a city-owned storage compound next to the GO Transit Don Yard at 470 Lake Shore Blvd. E.
The victim's name has not been released as it may hamper the ongoing investigation.
Police received a phone call late Tuesday night from the lawyer of one of the suspects informing them that there was a possible crime scene in the port lands.
When investigators arrived at the industrial site they initially found a bloody scene but no body.
"In the usual cases we find a body, then investigate a murder," said Det. Stg. Gary Grinton of the Toronto Police homicide squad, who said as of yet there is no clear motive for the murder.
Richard Alex Sheridan, 46, and Jennifer Dunsford, 30, both of Toronto, have since been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Police are still actively seeking two males and a female suspect believed to be involved in this homicide.
Squatting has been a problem at the city-owned site where the incident occurred.
A post-mortem examination is set for this morning.
The murder is the city's 45th this year.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 416-808-7400 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at www.222tips.com or 416-222-TIPS (8477).
