An Evening for Thomas a great success

More than $16,000 was raised at An Evening for Thomas, a benefit silent auction held at the Old Mill Thursday evening.

"The event was a great success," said Thomas Bourke's mother, Linda Canning, who posed above with daughter Adrienne Canning and husband Rob Bourke.

Thomas has Cerebral Palsy and the money will go to his ongoing treatment. In fact, he leaves with his mom March 17 for another 10-week session at Ability Camp.

More than 100 donors contributed to the event that featured hockey, baseball and even Celine Dion concert tickets.
