A man stabbed in the abdomen in St. James Town Sunday night has been charged with drug trafficking.
Toronto police said the 43 year old was stabbed by “an unknown man” near Sherbourne Street and Earl Street, north of Wellesley Street, at about 11:30 p.m. March 19.
The knife-wielding suspect fled northbound. He was only described as a young white man about 5’5” tall.
The victim was taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition and has been charged with possessing marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, police spokesperson Const. Victor Kwong said.
