Toronto police arrest man after incident with boy at Parkdale library

Parkdale Villager

Toronto Police Service released an image of a man wanted in connection with a suspicious incident at Parkdale library.

Police said a nine-year-old boy was in the library, at 1303 Queen St. W., when a man sat down beside him and gave him a handwritten note.

He then asked the boy several inappropriate questions using his cell phone, police said.

The boy's father confronted the man and the man ran out of the library.

Ryan McFarlane, 38, of Toronto has been arrested.

He is charged with fail to comply to probation.

He appeared in court on March 16.
