Police arrest man in connection with Weston stabbing

Stabbing occurred near Weston Road and Wilby Crescent

Toronto police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that left another man with serious, but non-life threatening injuries in Weston Saturday.

Police said they responded to a call for a stabbing around 4:30 p.m. March 11 near Weston Road and Wilby Crescent.

Once police arrived, they found a man with serious injuries.

Toronto paramedics said they took a man in his 20s to a trauma centre with a stab wound in his torso.

“We have since arrested one man,” Const. David Hopkinson told The York Guardian.

Hopkinson added the man has been charged, but the specific charge has not yet been released.

Police are investigating.
