Welcome to July’s adoptable furry friends. You’ll meet the feline brother team of Paul and Simon as well as a lovely large mastiff mix named Lady Georgia. Read on to learn more about these homeless pets looking for new lives and families.
Paul and Simon
Brothers Paul and Simon are two-year-old kitties who came in a strays. They were found together and are so bonded they’d love to be adopted together. The boys, described as playful and affectionate, have been waiting for more than a month for a new family. They are clean cats that can often be seen grooming each other throughout the day, staff note. A few of their favourite things are spending time with the shelter’s daily visitors, belly rubs, meal time, investigating new toys, sleeping on extra comfy beds and catnip! Both cats have been neutered and fully vetted. Their ID numbers are A744444 and A744445.
When eight-year-old Lady Georgia first arrived at the shelter she was frightened and uncertain of all the new people and dogs around her. With lots of patience from staff she began to unwind and trust again, but she can still be cautious and reserved, taking a little time to warm up to new people. Sweet Georgia, a mastiff mix, has been waiting at the shelter for almost two months for a new home. She is looking for a quiet adult-only home with an adopter who will continue to help her feel safe and loved. Apartments and condos are too busy and noisy for Georgia; a house with a fenced in backyard would be best. She can tolerate dogs from a distance, but does not like them in her personal space so she really needs to be the only dog in the home. She has a lot of love to share, but is not fussy on sharing her love with felines, so a home without cats is required. She responds to sit, stay, down and gives a paw for treats. She shows all the signs of being housetrained and is always clean in her kennel and waits to go outside. With people she knows she enjoys belly rubs and pats. She’d be delighted to get to know anyone who’d be interested in sharing their life with her. She’s been spayed and fully vetted. Her ID number is A740868.
