West End Food Co-op is hosting an Easter-themed workshop this weekend.
Children four to 12 will have the chance to make dyes from onions, beets, carrots and more by exploring techniques of shibori0style folding, binding and dyeing Saturday, April 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the West End Food Co-op, 1229 Queen St. W.
Children will learn the importance of colour in art and on the plate. The workshops will also include egg-dyeing. Each participant will take home their own custom dyed art piece and coloured eggs.
The cost is $25 per participant or $45 for two.
