If the thought of trying to whip up the perfect Thanksgiving dinner for your relatives fills you with dread, why not rely on Black Creek Pioneer Village instead?
If you want to forego cleaning the house and having family members flood your home, you can enjoy a traditional feast at the village.
If there's no place like home for the holidays, order take-out to go.
Either way, you and your family can savour a traditional feast right from the 1860s.
The meal is made using the finest local ingredients, including Ontario turkeys and seasonal vegetables.
Dining in highlights include a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, from flavourful mushroom soup to pumpkin pie. A vegetarian option is available.
While there, visit the new Black Creek Historic Brewery, which is rolling out a batch of pumpkin ale brewed especially for the occasion.
Stroll through the village and admire the fall colours. Don't forget to stop at the pumpkin patch.
The cost is $45.17 for adults and $22.58 for children, taxes and gratuities extra.
Prices include parking and admission to the village, located one block east of Jane Street south of Steeles Avenue.
For take-out, you can order a gourmet dinner for four, eight or 12 guests.
Or you can just order turkey, stuffing and gravy instead.
The full menu includes mixed greens with candied walnuts and olive oil balsamic vinaigrette, oven-roasted turkey with apple and cranberry stuffing and pumpkin tarts.
For the full menu, prices are $125 for four people, $230 for eight and $320 for 12.
For just turkey, stuffing and gravy, prices are $89 for four people, $125 for eight and $155 for 12.
Taxes for all take-out meals are extra.
