The TTC was expecting a 12-week closure of Leslie Street immediately north of Lake Shore Boulevard to begin as soon as this week.
The work is being done as part of an ongoing construction project to lay tracks for streetcars to connect from the TTC’s new Leslie Street streetcar maintenance facility (called the Leslie Barns), currently being built south of Lake Shore to the streetcar network via Queen Street East.
Two-way traffic is being maintained on Lake Shore with temporary entrances/exits being maintained into Loblaws/Burger King (east of the intersection) and Tim Hortons/Wendy’s and FreshCo (west of the intersection).
Exits/entrances are also being maintained into the businesses on Leslie Street (north of the closure) and also from Eastern Avenue (into Loblaws/Burger King) and Mosley Street (into Tim Hortons/Wendy’s and FreshCo).
