York Guardian

A young man wanted for attempted murder following the shooting of a teenage boy Sunday, Feb. 17 has turned himself into police.

Police said a 17-year-old was shot in the abdomen on Woolner Avenue, near Jane Street, around 12:45 a.m.
The accused chased the victim on foot, firing several shots before fleeing the scene in a vehicle, police allege.

The victim ran to a friend’s apartment for help before he was taken to hospital, where he’s expected to survive.

Jevaun Anthony Beharie, 18, of Toronto, has been charged.
