Retired Bethune Collegiate teacher faces sex assault charges

Scarborough Mirror

Toronto police say they have arrested a retired teacher and charged him with sexually assaulting a student at Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate three decades ago.

Daniel Campbell, 65, of Burlington was charged on Dec, 19 with two counts of sexual assault, police said in a release issued Thursday.

It is alleged a 15-year-old male student was sexually assaulted by a man at the school on Fundy Bay Boulevard in Scarborough “between 1982 and 1983,” the release said.

Anyone with information about this is asked to call police at 416-808-4205 or anonymously at 222-TIPS (8477).
