York University president Mamdouh Shoukri has been appointed to the Order of Ontario, the province’s most prestigious honour for individual excellence and achievement.

He will be one of 25 people invested by Ontario Lt.-Gov. David Onley at a ceremony at Queen’s Park Wednesday, Feb. 6.
