K9 committee co-chair resigns

Bloor West Villager

A co-chair of the High Park Canine (K9) Committee has stepped down.

Paul Wehrle, appointed in November 2011, announced in an email Sunday, Jan. 27, he was giving up his post.

“I am sorry to say that I must resign effective immediately,” said Wehrle. “A number of significant changes in my personal life have left me unable to give the K9 Committee the attention it is due.”

Ed Wugalter remains as the only chair of the committee at this time.

The High Park K9 Committee is a group of responsible dog owners and commercial dog walkers working to promote responsible dog ownership and the appropriate use of High Park and the High Park off-leash area by dog-owners. The committee meets on a monthly basis to discuss issue related to the High Park off-leash area and dogs in High Park.
