One man arrested, second sought in jewelry store robbery
Police arrested one man this week and are looking for another in connection with a jewelry store robbbery on May 4, 2012.
Police were called to the Sheppard Avenue and Kennedy Road store around 11 a.m. after two masked men entered the store, one armed with a hammer. After smashing several display cases, the men left with trays of assorted jewelry.
Police arrested Mohammad Bakhtiari, 26, of Richmond Hill, on Wednesday, Jan. 23. He’s been charged with robbery and weapons dangerous offences.
The second suspect is described as 5’7 to 5’9, 150 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a blue jacket with white leather sleeves with a logo on the left side of the jacket, a black baseball cap, blue jeans and carried a black backpack.
