Scarborough Mirror

Scarborough residents are invited to an evening with a Métis author at a local school.

Toronto District School Board trustee Jerry Chadwick hosts author, educator and presenter David Bouchard, on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m. at Eastview Public School.

Bouchard is an acclaimed author of children’s books and a champion of literacy.

A former teacher and school principal, Bouchard has written more than 50 books in English and in French. Many of them combine poetry, prose and visual arts, and explore topics such as the environment, history and the traditions and cultures of Canada’s Aboriginal communities.

Eastview Public School is located at 20 Waldock St., in the Kingston and Galloway roads area.
