Four people have been charged with a combined 42 offences after a gun was seized at Blessed Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School on Wednesday, Jan. 16.
Police attended the Sewells Road and Mclevin Avenue school as a result from a Crime Stoppers tip about a gun at the school.
The school was placed in lockdown as police searched the building.
Police allege a gun was placed in a bag and was in the possession of four young people.
A girl attempted to leave the school with the bag during the lockdown and was arrested by police after a loaded .357 Magnum handgun was allegedly found inside the bag.
All four of the accused are under the age of 18 and their names cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
