North York Mirror

The fourth suspect wanted in connection with the Vaughan home invasion this morning has been arrested.

Police arrested three people in North York just before noon following a police chase through Vaughan. A fourth suspect fled into nearby Sheridan Mall.

Const. Blair McQuillan said police  responded to a reported home invasion on Solway Avenue, in the Keele and Major Mackenzie area, in Vaughan.

Once they arrived, they saw three suspects and someone they believed to be a victim piling into a four-door sedan.

Police chased the vehicle through Vaughan and into North York, before boxing it in near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue, arresting three people and rescuing the male kidnap victim.

Police chased a fourth suspect into the Sheridan Mall.

They announced his arrest later this afternoon via Twitter.

Chalkfarm Public School, St. Gerard Majella Catholic School and St. Philip Neri Catholic School had been put under Hold and Secure mode, but were then re-opened.
