Registration for the High Park Nature Centre and Colborne Lodge March Break Camp takes place Tuesday, Jan. 8, starting at 9:30 a.m.
March Break Discovery Camp runs from March 11 to 15, 9 a.m. to noon hosted by Colborne Lodge and from 12:45 to 3:45 p.m. by the Nature Centre.
Children will participate in activities based on the history and environment of High Park. Inside historic Colborne Lodge, campers cook in the 19th century kitchen, play historic games, make crafts and more. Afternoons are spent with the Nature Centre exploring the nature of the park through hikes, games and crafts. Sign up for any or all half-day sessions. The cost of a half day is $17.50 plus tax, full day is $35 plus tax.
There are reduced rates for booking both sites for multiple days.
Spots are still available for the High Park Winter Camp mornings on Jan. 3, 4 and 5 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Children ages six to 10 can participate in a variety of fun and interactive indoor and outdoor activities centred on Colborne Lodge and High Park. These include exploring Colborne Lodge and its history, cooking using Victorian recipes, crafts, nature activities and games. Cost is $17.50 plus tax. There is no tax if booking more than one day.
