Scarborough tree lighting ceremony slated for civic centre

Scarborough Mirror

The Scarborough Civic Centre hosts its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. and takes place in the rotunda at the civic centre.

There will be a number of events slated including photos with Santa, free arts and crafts for kids, and free hot chocolate and cookies. Also, if the weather co-operates there will be skating on the outdoor rink at Albert Campbell Square in front of the civic centre.

Music will be provided by the Bach Children’s Chorus and TC3.

Master of Ceremonies will be Scarborough Southwest Councillor Michelle Berardinetti, chair of Scarborough Community Council.

The Scarborough Civic Centre is located at 150 Borough Dr.
