A fourth youth now faces multiple charges connected to the Danzig Street mass shooting.
Toronto Police say they arrested a 16-year-old boy Tuesday, Dec. 4, morning and charged him with threatening death and three firearm offences, including unauthorized possession of a restricted weapon.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the youth’s name can’t be released.
Two people, 14-year-old Shyanne Charles of Scarborough, and Joshua Yasay of Ajax, 23, were killed July 16 in what police say was a gun fight between members of rival gangs from the Scarborough neighbourhoods of Kingston-Galloway and Malvern during a West Hill street party.
Another 23 people survived with wounds.
Shaquan Mesquito, 18, Nahom Tsegazab, 19, and a boy of 17, who also can’t be named, were arrested separately last month, and each was charged with murder, attempted murder and multiple counts of aggravated assault in the Danzig Street incident.
Police previously stated there may be another shooter involved and the investigation was continuing.
