Dogs of all breeds and their owners are invited to take part in the Beaches Jingle Bells Christmas Walk Saturday, Dec. 1.
Hosted by Zelda Nista, the Toronto Pit Bull Co-Op and Southern Ontario Animal Rescue, the festive stroll will get underway at 2 p.m. at Woodbine Park, near Queen Street East and Northern Dancer Boulevard, and will continue along Queen Street East finishing at Woodbine Park at 4 p.m.
Dog owners are welcome to dress their pooches in their warmest festive fashions and bells for the walk, which aims to raise awareness about the fight to stop breed-specific legislation, a.k.a. the pit bull ban.
All those who support getting Bill 16, which aims to overturn the pit bull ban, to a third reading at Queen’s Park are welcome to attend.
All dogs in attendance will receive a breed-specific legislation awareness badge and a treat.
